Overwhelming negativity, seemingly impenetrable darkness, and no light at the end of the tunnel, hopelessness permeates the world that we live in.
We’ve seen it since the opening verses in Genesis; from the Garden until the flood; In man’s attempts to build his own self-serving monuments, as in the Tower of Babel, to the destruction of the Temple; from Exile to Israel’s divorce. It was that way during the hundreds of years between the Minor Prophets and the birth of Messiah.
Some of the greatest biblical heroes such as Job, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, the Judges, the Prophets, many of the Kings, and the Israelite nation all have felt it and all have been influenced by its presence.
It appeared victorious when Messiah was crucified. Since about 135 C.E. the world appears to be completely dominated by its dark influence.
From the beginning, however, there has been a Light that the darkness could not overcome (Gen. 1:2,3; John 1:5); A Light that makes beauty from ashes, joy for mourning, and garments of praise for a spirit of heaviness (Isa. 61:3). This Light is Life (John 1:4; John 6:68). This Light is True Light (John 1:9) and no counterfeit (2 Cor. 11:14).
This Light is a Person! He is Yeshua, the Messiah (John 1:1-9; 14-17)! He’s the real deal! He’s the True Bread from heaven (John 6:32)! He’s the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6)! He’s the True Vine (John 15:1)! He’s the Light to the Gentiles and the Savior to the World (Isa. 49:6)!
Because of His death, burial and resurrection the grip of darkness and hopelessness is past and the Light now shines like never before (1 John 2:8)! He is the True God and Eternal Life (1 John 5:20)!
When we believe into Him we don’t have to abide in darkness but can bask in His wonderful Light (John 12:46), where there will be no occasion of stumbling (1 John 2:10). This Life in the Light is manifest in those who live the Torah lifestyle (Isa. 8:20). Torah-living, Light-bearing children will not be caught by surprise when Messiah returns (1 Thess. 5:1-5) as those who live in darkness!
His Light brings warmth; deliverance from the past; hope for the future and clear direction for the here and now!
Come join us as we live out being Light’s to the World (Matt. 5:14-16; Phil. 2:12-16). Leave the past negativity and hopelessness behind and experience The Light that makes the journey clearer as we approach His Coming Day (Prov. 4:18); the Light that enters into everyone who believes (John 1:5-9).
